Austerity-weary voters punish coalition in Irish election

Ireland faces political uncertainty after two exit polls indicated voters had punished the governing coalition in Europe's fastest-growing economy, still feeling the pain of years of austerity. One analyst suggests that unless Prime Minister Enda Kenny negotiates a union of his Fine Gael party with runners up Fianna Fail "it’s unlikely that there will be a government elected on March 10th".
