Note to Donald Trump: the media is declaring war on you. The Huffington Post this week began placing a note at the bottom of all its articles about Donald Trump, informing readers that real estate magnate and current frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination is in fact "a serial liar, rampant xenophobe" and "racist," among other critical labels. The Huffington Post previously made headlines of its own earlier in the campaign cycle by placing all articles about Trump's candidacy and controversial comments in its entertainment section, rather than filing it under politics. After Trump called for a temporary ban on all Muslims entering the United States, however, The Huffington Post reversed this strategy, but promised greater scrutiny of the candidate. "As today's vicious pronouncement makes abundantly clear, it's also morphed into something else: an ugly and dangerous force in American politics," founder Arianna Huffington wrote in a post at the time. "So we will no longer be covering his campaign in Entertainment. But that's not to say we'll be treating it as if it were a normal campaign."
