Eight French Goodyear workers have been sentenced to nine months in prison for holding two managers hostage for 30 hours in 2014, this in protest over planned job cuts. The workers are appealing the verdict, but it's the first time a prison sentence has been handed down for such actions during an industrial dispute, without being suspended.
