"Preparation Failure" is about the Public Education Department’s horrible service to the low-‐income community. My motivation for this Documentary is rooted in my commitment to advocate for “At Risk Youth”. During 2001-‐2004 I was a “big Brother” for the TC Williams youth enrichment program in Silver spring MD. Thru 2005-‐2007 I was a tutor for the Heavily Angles daycare Center in Far Rockaway Queens NY, and during 2007-‐2010 I was a Professional Child mentor for Friends Of the Children in Harlem. Throughout my years as a child advocate I witnessed the issues that I will be addressing in Preparation Failure. I truly believe that if the problems in our educational system were accurately identified, change would then be possible. This Documentary will reveal that children in these low-income communities are, in fact, “casualties of neglect”.
