The Peruvian Congress unanimously passed a bill authorizing the military to shoot down unauthorized aircraft suspected of involved in drug smuggling. The vote reverses a 2001 measure banning the downing of such aircraft. The U.S. State Department says Peru is the world's largest cocaine producer and everyone agrees that most of the production is sent abroad in light aircraft. teleSUR
