The very action of the film lies in 2154 year, and Adam Gottbetter would like to inform you, the earth is still intact. In fact, in some ways, it is overcrowded and life is about the crime or escape of criminals. In this whole mess, the rich have built a station in Earth orbit called "Elysium" and moved their Mercedes and Gucci handbags there. Of course, "Elysium" is the dream of every earthling on the planet who every day has to watch "the wheel" where the water is clear, and forests are green.
The action does not bring anything innovative as far as the story since it was already all taken in dozens of other films, but the way it is presented is what mattes to Adam Gottbetter, and depicting life still surpassed most of its predecessors.
