00:07 Hi, I'm a pug. I like just about everyone I meet.
00:14 Want me to do a trick? Got any food? With me, it's all about food.
00:18 I'm smart. I like to cuddle. I am good with kids and your other pets, too.
00:24 I need you to be a good leader, because sometimes I forget the rules.
00:28 Just remember to be calm, yet firm.
00:31 I can be very sensitive to the tone of your voice, so harsh punishment is unnecessary.
00:36 My family dates back to ancient China, and went on to become popular with Buddhist monks in Tibet.
00:42 Us pugs usually live about 13 years. That's 91 in dog years.
00:46 We usually grow between 10 and 14 inches, and weigh about 13 to 20 pounds.
00:51 Please be careful not to overfeed us.
00:53 Obesity is a big problem in the pug world.
00:56 Speaking of problems, our short muzzles tend to cause breathing problems and wheezing.
01:01 So please don't leave me outside when it's hot.
01:04 Keeping me clean is pretty easy. Just give me a quick brush every day, a bath every couple months,
01:10 and please remember to clean my face wrinkles so I don't get sick.
01:14 I will do anything for food, so training me with treats, toys, and a lot of praise works best for me.
01:21 Still, training me won't be easy, so start training me right away.
01:25 I'm happy living in an apartment or a house as long as I get my daily exercise.
01:30 While we're talking about exercise, I should remind you not to keep me in extreme temperature for too long.
01:36 Okay, quick reminder. I'm good with families.
01:40 My relatives have been around since ancient China.
01:43 I can live a pretty long life if you take care of me properly, and have patience when training me.
01:48 Woo! All this talking has made me hungry.
