A little piano improv I've been working on for a few days. My keyboard is plugged directly into the mic port of my notebook computer. I'm running LinuxMint 17.1 on a Toshiba Satellite C55 using Audacity to record the audio.
I pretty much have to record a complete song in one session. The concept of editing out mistakes seems extremely tedious and difficult. Maybe someone on here can give me some advice.
My music is not perfect, and I know that. I share what I have. In particular, I seem to struggle with keeping an even tempo. Sometimes I hit wrong notes and incorporate them into the song.
In addition to original pieces, I create arrangements of Christian hymns and choruses, as well as various nursery rhymes and folk songs.
My style is eclectic, as I pick up techniques from every song I hear. Grounded in classical music, I started playing in church at the age of 12, and everything proceeded from that point.
In college I majored in Math and Physics, but didn't do too well because I spread myself too thin. Part of this was spending a lot of time every day practising the piano and playing my arrangements.
