Mexican authorities released the Sandra Avila Beltran, Queen of the Pacific, the infamous drug smuggler who in the 1990s built up the Sinaloa Cartel. She was jailed in the United States on money laundering charges and extradited to Mexico. She served three years of her five year prison sentence. teleSUR
