Melbourne Comics contributors came together on Sunday 25 January for the launch of Melbourne Comics Quarterly #1!
In the proud tradition of 2000AD and Dark Horse Presents; Melbourne Comics Quarterly is designed to showcase the best and brightest comic creators from Victoria. Featuring ongoing stories from popular local series, anchoring the title alongside standalone stories.
The first feature includes From Above comic book, SAUCE's Falling Star, That Bulletproof Kid (all ongoing stories), alongside first issue exclusive once off stories; Killeroo, and POKI the Rabbit!
The quarterly schedule will allow for the continuation of the ongoing stories while at the same time ensuring fresh, never before seen content! A big thanks to all these great titles for taking this leap with Melbourne Comics!
To sweeten the pot even further, co-launching at this event we had From Above # 6, Falling Star #3, and That Bulletproof Kid #3!
It was the second year in succession and the start of a great tradition in celebration of Australia Day hosted by Gasolina!
This event coincided with Gasolina's second birthday, and host bands, custom motorbikes and a full beer garden!
