Of the many tools available for preventing the development of Alzheimer's Disease, Dr. Michael Mullan explains that research has found there is strong evidence that practicing mental exercises can fend off the disease.

In speaking to the audience in this segment, Dr. Mullan explains that we can improve the connections between the neurons in our brains through constant engagement. As he states in the video, learning new material in formal study environments and playing games help to establish a cognitive reserve in the brain that has been shown to delay the development of Alzheimer's Disease.
