Couples fight and argue
Hurt one another
Make each other cry
I feel lucky
It’s just me
No worries
No pain
No emotional turmoil
But I realise I envy them
For feeling
For living
Whereas I feel nothing
This empty being drifting through life
Each day the same
Wanting to feel something
Willing to settle for pain
Just to feel alive again
It must be better than feeling nothing
Drifting through time....
