But the retired Cuban president was nowhere to be seen.
The leader of the revolution hasn’t made a public appearance since January.
Despite stepping down in 2008 for health reasons, Castro still meet world leaders in private – most recently Russia’s Vladimir Putin and China’s Xi Jinping.
