Beauty and the Beast, a part of Paperworks... a joint show by the 4th year students of video and apparel of ENSAD, performed at the Fondation Cartier in Paris as a part of the Soirée Nomad on Thursday 18th January 2007.
I worked with Cyrielle Leclere who made the garment and I made the two videos projected on the back and the floor. The work was called Beauty and the Beast and I took it forward to visually represent the ideas of sexuality and gender as represented in various media and in various cultures. The track was made by mixing the soundtrack from Shrek, 'Dude looks like a lady' by Aerosmith and XMen 2.
