A family in Commack, New York, found something very strange and disturbing in a store bought cake. It appeared as though a dead rat was inside the German apple ring cake.
There’s nothing out of the ordinary about buying a cake to celebrate a birthday. A family in Commack, New York, however, did find something very strange and disturbing in a store bought cake.
It appeared as though a dead rat was inside the German apple ring cake. The desert was purchased for Joseph Vallenti to honor his 96th birthday.
According to his nephew, all Joseph Vallenti wanted as the the German Apple Cake. He also specified it had to come from his favorite store, King Kullen.
The elderly man got his wish but as soon as he took a bite, Vallenti knew something was wrong. He complained to his relatives that it didn’t taste right.
The family cut further into the cake and noticed what appeared to be a ring of black mold on the bottom. When they flipped the cake over, they witnessed something that looked a lot like a rat’s tail.
The family contacted their lawyer following the disgusting discovery. Their attorney believed the cake was tampered with and planned on turning it over to state authorities for testing.
King Kullen was contacted and is reportedly conducting an internal investigation to determine what happened.
