3-Year-Old Genius Becomes Mensa Member

Arizona based Alexis Martin is considered a genius with an IQ of 160.

Have you ever had a conversation with a small child and felt, ahem, less than intelligent? Well don’t feel too bad, many kids are insanely knowledgeable and one in particular is Alexis Martin, who could have given Einstein a run for his money.

She is considered a genius with an IQ of 160.

Here’s where it gets even more interesting, Alexis is only three years of age. Because of her now recognized genius status, the preschooler has become an official member of Mensa.

Her father, Ian Martin stated “From 12-18 months old, we'd be driving around in the car and she would recite her bedtime story from the night before. She didn’t just recite them, she recited them exactly.”

It didn’t take long for her talents to surface. She would randomly pick up words through either books or conversation. All Alexis had to do was hear the words one time and according to her parents, she would never use them in the improper context.

The adorable child even taught herself how to speak Spanish using her family’s iPad. For now, her mom and dad are contemplating on what to do about school.
