In Saudi Arabia, women are forbidden from driving and from appearing in public without a male guardian. Madiha al Ajroush has defied that ban. The photographer and activist is a veteran of the campaign to lift the ban on women’s driving. She’s often frustrated by the slow pace of change in her country, both in popular attitudes and in laws.
