HOUDINI'S HAND Episode 6 - - Horror Hotel Web Series - - (English Language, Subtitles, Closed Captions, HD)

Rufus Bass and Thaddeus Tyrone abscond with a rare and unusual relic, Houdini's Hand. Rufus stole the mummified body part from a one-handed safecracker, Stumpy Nixon, who was using the dead magician's hand to unlock doors and safes. Rufus believes he can sell Houdini's Hand or at least ransom it back to Stumpy Nixon. Their fence, Al Sharko, is hip to the Hand's tricks and doesn't want anything to do with it.
"Stumpy Nixon always leaves his door unlocked'" says Al Sharko. "It'd be a waste of time to lock his door with that hand-thing around."
Stumpy calls and wants his Houdini's Hand back, with interest. Stumpy Nixon wants one of the thieves' hands as retribution. Houdini's Hand locks the motel room door solidly shut and imprisons the two hand-nappers. The hand gaily scampers about the room under its own power, getting into mischief and terrorizing the two hapless thieves until they lose their minds in panic.

Rufus Bass: An intelligent and arrogant burglar who masterminded the theft of Houdini's Hand. He simply walked into Stumpy Nixon's unlocked flat and carried it off. Rufus enjoys the casual ease and modern styling his polyester leisure suit provides. Rufus believes he can always think of ways out of jams and has been successful at avoiding incarceration most of the time. Rufus knows he will get a perfect opportunity to saw off Tyrone's hand to satisfy Stumpy Nixon's demands.

Thaddeus Tyrone: A street-smart man who values his freedom but has had to do his share of time inside learning his trade. For one hundred dollars Tyrone took on the dubious task of watching Rufus' back for what was to be a simple merchandise exchange with a known fence. Tyrone wouldn't have considered this job if he'd known it involved defrauding Stumpy Nixon.

Stumpy Nixon: An infamous Atlanta safecracker who's been using the mummified magician's hand to unlock things. Stumpy inherited Houdini's Hand from another old safecracker who was using it for the same thing. He lost his own right hand when the plate glass door of a car dealership shattered unexpectedly while being forced open. Physically small, the one-handed burglar resents two-handed people and doesn't mind proving that he can be superior with only one live hand. He's mean because life's been mean to him. A detective on his trail woke up one morning with his nose lopped off. Stumpy intends to punish the two-handed thieves who stole his hand.

Al Sharko: Operates a chop shop where he fences some select merchandise, makes usury loans and generally aids the world through illegal black-market activity. Shrewd and cunning, Sharko avoids direct contamination by conducting quick business deals within eighteen-dollar-a-night Poginsville Motor Court rooms. Sharko has no intention of crossing Stumpy Nixon, "Even the cops leave that guy alone." Al Sharko's mother loathes the criminal vermin he does business with but still makes Al repair the Porsche he acquired for her.
