This is how I colour in my art! I have NOT sped this up- I have kept my original speed so you can see how fast I work. This is a piece of work that I originally drew in black and white.. (see one of my previous videos.) It didn't take particularly long but the point of the video is to display some sneaky tips and tricks for photoshop that makes your artwork better than usual.
I draw in black and white and use a very low opacity for colour on Photoshop (I use CS6) . Opacity helps to keep the colour TRANSPARENT, so the black shows through and gives depth to your pictures. Opacity also allows you to over-lay colours so that you can create some beautiful blends, which look much more natural.
