So it has been quite a few week since I last uploaded a video! So many things came up the past few weeks but now i'm back to my usual routine of Arty Sundays and Cartoon Wednesdays! Thanks once again for watching. Feel free to push that cheeky 'like' button up there, or even the subscribe button if you are feeling generous :) It helps a lot.

*****VIDEO INFO******

This is a quick 'how to' on the different techniques I use to draw a mouth. The original art work took around 15 minutes without being sped up.

If you break the artwork into different 'layers' on photoshop it makes your artwork much easier. You can always go back and add more detail, or take away detail if there is too much!

I split my artwork up into these basic layers:

-rough outline
-base colour no.1 (lips)
-base colour no. 2 (teeth)
-shadows for lips
-shadows for teeth
-shadow DETAIL for lips and teeth
-HIGHLIGHTS for lips and teeth
-extra layer for extra detail (blemishes, more cracks in lips etc)

Practise splitting your artwork into different layers and eventually this will help you a lot when it comes to practising lighting techniques and still life drawing! I use photoshop cs6, so if you have any technical program questions then please ask too.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! :D
