I halotslot of debt and I got some papers from one creditor that told me I had 30 days to reply and I didn't because I didn't know what to do and I checked into bankruptcy it will cost $1200 and I don't have the money to file. my fiancé is still living in the house he is trying to keep it but is behind on payments. He can't refinance on his own and I could not help even if I tried. The problem is his family gave us 30,000 down payment. If he can sell it I want him to take 30,000 off the top and I'd anything is left we will split. That is if it can be sold. I scared that if a creditor may put a lien on the house. How can u make sure that he can het that 30,000 back and also is it too late to file if creditors het judgements against me? Oh and I live in NC just incase that matters. -
