Find the best financial services for you at: SMARTFINANCESOLUTIONS.NET - How many years can a bankruptcy trustee pursue you? - We filed for bankruptcy 9 years ago and the trustee wants to go after the settlement money for a lawsuit that was filed years after the bankruptcy and on behalf of my minor son who has a heart deformity and autism. How can he do this if our case is closed, nothing in the bankruptcy pertains to our son or any medical bills for him, and the case did not exist when we filed bankruptcy? My son's attorney wants to help my son get a swimming pool, but the trustee will go after us if my son gets it because we benefit from the value it adds to our house.
The trustee was asked nicely by our son's attorney to write a letter stating he would not do this, and the trustee wrote me back a letter stating we would never benefit from any thing my son gets. What kind of bottom feeding jerk does this to a disabled child?

Is there a governing authority that can be appealed to? -
