I purchased this faucet to replace an eleven year old Moen of very similar design. Delta, generally speaking, makes a very dependable and well designed faucet in my experience. Heres my perspective on this model after installing it Positive i) Very easy to install has integrated compression fittings for the standard 38" valve. The sprayer pops into a fitting coming from the faucet... very easy. Even more amazingly, nothing leaked on the first try (usually something does from my experience). I had to replace a leaky existing water valve for the house and also purchase a new fitting for an under the sink water filter to be hooked up which added some time to the install. Excluding those items, the removal of the old faucet and new install would of taken under two hours. ii) Dependability approximately every two years, I replaced the cartridge (because it leaked) and the plastic attachment pieces for the handle (they would loosen and get very sloppy) on the Moen... very inconvenient. Delta says that they test their their faucets for 5 to 10 times as many uses than are required. This could just be clever marketing, but from the Delta faucets that Ive owned in the past they do require much less maintenance than other brands. iii) Select functional When you turn the Delta faucet off, it immediately stops water flow. I didnt expect this. The Moen would dribble for a couple of seconds after it was turned off. On an high arch design, the water should continue to drip to clear out the remaining water from the end of the spout... but it doesnt with the Delta. Also, the water flow is adjustable. The Moen, ever since it was new, tended to have two positions off and full flow. With the Delta, it easily adjusts to between flows. Negative i) The water stream is a little too narrow. I agree with the reviewer that stated that it should be wider. As a result, the water is more likely to splash. In this aspect, I liked the Moen better.
