There are around 20 million active surfers worldwide all chasing the same thing: the perfect wave. The problem is that, as a natural phenomenon, the perfect wave is pretty hard to come by.
The thrill of the chase has spurred on a new industry, with businesses competing to design the best artificial wave-generating systems. In Bilbao, one German seems to have cracked it. Her concept, "Wavegarden," has become a huge success.
