Roxanne Allen, from Missouri is terminally ill with cancer. Medical experts have told Allen that she only has two weeks to live.

Knowing that she will have a funeral in the near future, Allen had a garage sale to cover the costs. Allen hoped to sell every single thing she owned, in order to pay for her death.

After the heartbreaking story was made public, local residents lined up to support Allen. Some people were buying 5 dollar items and leaving behind $40. A local funeral home offered to pay for the inevitable event, however it’s not known if Allen accepted the proposition.

Strangers offered additional donations so she will be able to take a showboat cruise on a local lake before she passes away.

In Mid-2011, Allen was first told by doctors that she would only have 2 months to live, but she has proven to be a fighter.

Allen speaks of the outpouring of support stating “It renewed my faith. Not that it was lost- on mankind and in the goodness of people.”
