Trochetti Polvara, the boss of the Italian tyre maker, Pirelli has been handed down a 20 month suspended jail sentence and a 900,000 euro fine for phone spying on Italy's elite.
As head of Telecom Italia from 2001-2006 he was convicted on charges of receiving information stolen from phone data in 2004.
