A beer festival in England promised its patrons a three-day extravaganza filled with beer, wine, and cava, but sadly after day two the well of alcohol ran dry.

Management at the sports club where it was held say it was a simple matter of more people coming than they thought would show.

He said the combination of good weather and a big social media push really brought a lot of people out for the event.

Once the one thousand festival attendees ran through the 30 types of beer on offer, the club scrounged up pretty much every other beer they had in house.

According to reports, once the kegs had nothing left to give, the crowd gravitated towards the still and sparkling wine table.

By 10 o’clock on day two, the club realized they were in trouble and going to have to announce that day three of the event was just not going to happen – there was no way replenishments were going to arrive in time.

Nobody seemed to mind, though. Just about all who were there had nothing but rave reviews of the evening.

Club management said that next year they’ll consider going to a ticketing system to avoid a repeat.
