What kind of computer set up do you have for trading? Is it an underpowered computer with a small screen? Does it freeze often or does it take a long time to process the opening of documents, videos, web pages, and streaming videos? Do you have a slow internet connection? If you want to trade and invest in the stock market, you need to prioritize your computer equipment.

Laptop:
(This is a NEWER version of MY laptop; mine is actually Windows 7) **** Dell Inspiron 17R i17R-1842sLV 17.3-Inch Laptop Core i7-3632QM 2.2GHz 8GB 1TB DVD±RW GeForce 1GB http://tinyurl.com/c86r8bn
Input Devices - I love Logitech! http://tinyurl.com/cyjwxr4
**** Power Strips (I have 4 of these in different areas of my desk, 3 on top of desk, one on floor): http://tinyurl.com/bq437a2
**** HDMI Cables - Great quality and VERY cost effective! I have these everywhere in my house. NOW with the monitors ABOVE, each monitor has TWO inputs (1&2) so what I did was connect ALL of the monitors to my laptop through input number 1 and then OTHER monitors have OTHER video-based devices (media player, dvd player, etc) hooked up to the OTHER monitor Input number 2. Once in a while, I will want to watch a movie but NOT use my laptop, but rather another device. These are the cables: http://tinyurl.com/cgvfzel
**** Laptop Riser and Wire Rack (to elevate my laptop and to help manage cords going to laptop): http://tinyurl.com/ce7zrtk and http://tinyurl.com/cf4oz5h
Monitor (I purchased 3 of these, good deal):
**** Viewsonic VX2453MH-LED 24-Inch Ultra-thin Widescreen LED Monitor - Black http://tinyurl.com/btaz5ou
**USB 2.0 - good performance, standard, more cost-effective**
USB 2.0 Video Adapters:
**** Plugable UGA-2K-A USB 2.0 to VGA/DVI/HDMI Adapter for Multiple Monitors up to 2048x1152 / 1920x1080 Each (DisplayLink DL-195 Chipset) http://tinyurl.com/ct64wmm
USB 2.0 HUB: http://tinyurl.com/cpkvogv
NOTE: IF you have USB 3.0 support on your computer, then it makes sense to get the USB 3.0 devices and peripherals to leverage the extra speed; YOU CAN still get the USB 3.0 equipment and mix and match 3.0 and 2.0 devices. DO THIS if you intend on "future-proofing" your devices and you will upgrade everything a little at a time.
** USB 3.0 - Much faster performance, plays HD video and data transfers with other USB 3.0 peripherals, a little bit more costly **
**** Plugable UGA-3000 USB 3.0 / 2.0 to VGA / DVI / HDMI Adapter for Multiple Monitors up to 2048x1152 / 1920x1080 Each (DisplayLink DL-3100 Chipset) http://tinyurl.com/d5h7hzz
**** Plugable 7 Port USB 3.0 Hub with 4A Power Adapter (VIA VL812 Chipset - USB 2.0 compatible) http://tinyurl.com/cvnw76g
