When it comes to active noise-cancelling (ANC) headphones, most people think of premium brands with premium prices. But Anker, through its Soundcore lineup, has been consistently proving that you don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars to get a solid listening experience. The Anker Soundcore Noise Cancelling Headphones are a prime example of how affordability and performance can meet in the middle without compromise.
Design & Comfort
At first glance, these headphones look sleek and modern. The over-ear design features soft memory foam earcups that provide excellent comfort, even during long listening sessions. The headband is adjustable and lightweight, making the fit secure without creating pressure on the ears. While they may not carry the luxury finish of high-end models, the build quality is surprisingly robust for their price range.
Noise Cancelling Performance
The highlight feature here is the active noise cancellation. Powered by multiple microphones, the headphones do a great job of reducing consistent low-frequency sounds like airplane engines, bus hum, or office air conditioners. While they may not completely block out sudden sharp noises, they still offer a peaceful listening environment at a fraction of the cost of flagship ANC models. For travelers, commuters, and office workers, this makes them a budget-friendly lifesaver.
Sound Quality
Soundcore headphones are known for their dynamic sound signature, and this pair doesn’t disappoint. The bass is punchy without being overwhelming, mids are clear, and highs are detailed. Music genres like pop, EDM, and hip-hop sound vibrant, while podcasts and audiobooks come through crisp and easy to follow. With the Soundcore app, users can also customize the EQ settings to match their personal preferences, which is a rare feature in this price category.
Battery Life
One of the most impressive aspects of these headphones is their battery performance. With ANC enabled, they can last up to 40 hours on a single charge. Switch off ANC, and you can stretch usage even further. A quick 5-minute charge can deliver several hours of playback, making them perfect for people always on the move.
Additional Features
Bluetooth connectivity is stable, with minimal dropouts. The headphones also support multipoint pairing, allowing users to connect two devices simultaneously—a handy feature for switching between a laptop and smartphone. Built-in controls on the earcups make it easy to adjust volume, skip tracks, or answer calls without reaching for your device.
Final Verdict
The Anker Soundcore Noise Cancelling Headphones prove that you don’t need to spend a fortune for effective ANC, great sound, and long-lasting battery life. While they might not completely dethrone premium giants like Sony or Bose, they deliver 80% of the experience at a fraction of the cost. For students, frequent travelers, or anyone on a budget, these headphones stand out as one of the best affordable ANC options.

00:00All right, let's talk about these Soundcore noise-canceling over-ear Bluetooth headphones.
00:08They are made by Anker, which is a reputable brand, and I'm going to go through what I like
00:15about them, maybe a few things I'd improve on them, features, show you how to use it,
00:19tell you if I'd buy them again. Like I said, for starters, these are over-ear headphones.
00:24One of my favorite features is just how big the gap is for the ear. My last pair of over-ear
00:30headphones was a little bit narrower. Didn't really affect me until I was wearing them for
00:35several hours, like maybe on an airplane, but they would start to make my ears ache a bit.
00:40These do not. These are great. Sound quality. Sound quality is very good. Now, if you're comparing
00:46this up against a premium set of over-ear headphones, like say the Bose are ones that come to mind,
00:53they aren't going to compare. Those are much better. But compared to other in these price
00:58ranges, these are fantastic. I think that they're very good. You hear the bass, you hear the treble,
01:03you hear the midtones. They create a nice, robust sound. In terms of noise-canceling,
01:08the noise-canceling on them is very good as well. It's not up to the level of a Bose. I had Bose for
01:14many years when I traveled for work, but it's still very, very good. And you'll find that when you're on
01:21a plane, you can turn them on and it's very noticeable that you have the noise-canceling on.
01:27In terms of the connectivity to Bluetooth 5, very good and a marked improvement of my last set of
01:36over-ear headphones. I don't know why, because my understanding is these are Bluetooth 5 and so
01:39are the last pair. But I can go a much considerably larger distance away from my phone or wherever it's
01:46connected to and still retain good coverage. And so I think that that's a very valuable thing.
01:52You'll notice the build quality is, I mean, these are plastic. You know, I wouldn't want to step on
01:57them, but they do have a lot of flexibility and natural flexibility for here. You can see that
02:02they turn left to right. They turn forward if you want. And so there's a lot going here to keep
02:08these lasting for a very long time. Microphone is very good. I use the microphone all the time
02:16without it being hooked into the cable. And the microphone can take calls. And I ask people
02:20how the sound quality is, and they tell me that it's very good. Very easy to connect. You just go
02:27ahead and turn it on. It does usually, usually it auto-connects, not all the time. You can adjust
02:34sound volume right here. And then you can plug it in to charge right here with your standard connection.
02:41Overall, I very much like these. They're a marked improvement for my last pair. I would definitely
02:47get these again. The only thing is I've only had these for a couple of months now. So I don't know
02:50how long they'll last, but all signs point to them lasting for a good amount of time and
02:55everything else checks the box. Hope this helped.
