00:00When traveling abroad, especially non-Muslim countries, some people may have tasted meat
00:04there. How does Islam view this? Muslims are allowed to consume halalized meat such as beef,
00:11lamb, chicken, and goat. However, halal here is not only a matter of the type of meat,
00:16but also ensuring that the meat is slaughtered according to Islamic law. When abroad,
00:21it will be quite difficult to find a restaurant or place to eat that sells halal meat or food.
00:26Unfortunately, not all eating places provide fish dishes or food that is safe for Muslim
00:32consumption. If you are forced to consume this meat, then what is the law in Islam?
00:37If you are traveling from one country to another with Jewish and Christian residents,
00:41then the law is permitted to consume halalized meat such as beef, goat, chicken, etc. while
00:48still reading bismillah. It was narrated from Aisha that some people said to the Prophet Muhammad
00:55came to us bringing meat, but we did not understand whether they mentioned the name of
00:59Allah when slaughtering it or not. Then the Prophet Muhammad said,
01:03Say the name of Allah over the meat and eat it. This is in line with Allah's words in Surah Al-Maidah,
01:09which means, It is forbidden for you to eat carrion, flowing blood, pork, the flesh of
01:14animals slaughtered in the name of other than Allah, those that are strangled, those that are
01:19beaten, those that fall, those that are gored, and those that are torn apart by wild animals,
01:25except those that you have time to slaughter, and it is forbidden for you to be slaughtered for idols.
01:30In conclusion, the slaughtered meat of the people of the book in the view of the Ulama
01:35is provided that the animal is truly, it is permissible, not for a ritual, so that it does
01:41not mention any name other than Allah. However, if the slaughtering process is not known,
01:47then it is permissible to eat it, but it is much better to leave it. If you're not subscribed,
01:52you're probably never going to see us again, but if you are, congrats, you're the journey
01:56of continuous growth.
