Hero MotoCorp has updated the Pleasure scooter more than a decade after the 100 cc scooter was first launched. The new Hero Pleasure Plus 110 gets updated styling and a more powerful 110 cc engine, and will replace the 100 cc Hero Pleasure. While the Hero Pleasure was launched primarily as a scooter for women riders, now Hero MotoCorp has changed the positioning of the Pleasure Plus, as a uni-sex scooter, which can be ridden by both men and women. The overall shape and dimensions of the Pleasure+ remain similar to the outgoing Pleasure, but the styling and bodywork have undergone a complete transformation to make it an all-new scooter.
The Pleasure Plus 110 shares its engine with the Hero Maestro Edge 110 and Hero Duet. The 110 cc, single-cylinder engine puts out 8 bhp of maximum power at 7500 rpm and 8.7 Nm of peak torque at 5500 rpm. Where the Pleasure Plus 110 scores is on its significantly lower body weight. The Pleasure+ has a kerb weight of just 101 kg, compared to 116 kg of the Hero Duet and 110 kg kerb weight of the Hero Maestro Edge 110. In terms of features, the Pleasure+ gets 14 litres of underseat storage, ride on 10-inch wheels, and gets a mobile charging socket. There’s no front disc brake on offer, but there’s standard integrated braking system. The new Hero Pleasure Plus 110 is available in two variants – with the steel wheel version costing Rs. 47,300 (ex-showroom), while the cast alloy wheel variant costs Rs. 49,300 (ex-showroom). Claimed fuel economy is around 53 kmpl.
