For show 147 of THE BIRDHOUSE, we have brand new Dirtybird artist Steve Darko taking over guest mix duties. Steve just released debuted on the label in May with his Fried and Fertilized EP. After continually hearing his music in our demo submission, I knew Steve's music was a perfect fit for Dirtybird. I played his track during Miami Music Week, and it was the biggest record of my set.

Although he's an up and coming artist, Steve has already had a string of great releases on Box of Cats, Perfect Driver and Audiophile XXL. His productions skills set him apart and his music continually stands out amongst the noise. Check out his guest mix below and read on for Steve Darko's BIRDHOUSE questionnaire. Also, make sure to check him out on my upcoming world tour. Steve will me joining me as support for the US leg of the tour.

DIRTYBIRD boss man Barclay Crenshaw (aka Claude VonStroke) hits the airwaves with his weekly radio show. The Birdhouse features independent house and bass music without restrictions. The show releases every Monday morning straight from his Venice Beach studio in California.

The show features interviews and guest mixes from cutting-edge electronic artists, Claude VonStroke’s personal music picks, and a Track of the Night. Alternating features include a ‘Producer Spotlight’ where a producer calls in with an interesting fact about their newest track, ‘Bass in Your Face’ featuring an alternative bass music song of the week, and a voicemail hotline for you to layout your funniest party stories.
