Jookay -- D'Sean

D'Sean comes to his talent by birth -- being the son of calypsonian Mary G. A multi-talented, aspiring Saint Lucian artiste, he is equally versed in Soca, Reggae and other musical genres. He wrote his competition songs last year, one of which landed him a spot in the 2012 Power Soca Monarch Finals. Declaring then he was "Born Ready/Born Brave," he is showing his chops on "Jookay" -- riding the Dutch Productions/Stratosphere Muzic Junkie Bacchanal Riddim the same way a certain female's gyrations are leading him to say, "Girl come whine up your waistline and make your body move on me/Girl your sweet groovy motion me tell you that it driving me crazy."
Make no mistake -- this is a song for grown ups -- a man talking to his lady. It is a sexy song but one that starts quite beautifully on a dance floor where she is told, "You've got me in a mood/ now me behaving rude/love how you push back on me."
You know how people often say they knew someone when? This is another such opportunity. Keep an eye on D'Sean. "Jookay" is written by him and produced by award winning songwriter and producer Courtney "Curty" Louis.
