With the wind howling I ventured to the prebaited swim mid-afternoon on Saturday.

I am no great bedfellow of the wind, however, the met office was forecasting the first frost of the autumn the following evening so it was the lesser of two evils.

Things just did not feel good for a bite and I did contemplate retiring to the sofa but I was there and set-up so thought I'd see what the evening would bring before I got truly exasperated with being windswept.

Oh boy was I in for a wonderful surprise...
