After the previous video where I fished a swim further down the stretch, I had decided to return to the "barbel swim" for the next session.

This I did on the Monday previous to this video (4/9/17). Although the river was alive with swirls and splashes and with the baits receiving almost constant attention from fish, the movement transmitted to the rod tips causing them to dance all evening, a bite worth striking at simply never materialised.

So, on Friday (8/9/17) I returned to the swim for this session, more determined than ever, having made improvements to both rigs and gear (which I run through in the video). The river looked in good condition I was hopeful of getting some a success this time...
