Subaru WRX & Driving a Manual Transmission

Put car in neutral, press the clutch, then turn on the car.
To change gears:
First, gradually let off the accelerator while simultaneously pressing down on the clutch.
Then, shift the gear.
Lastly, gradually let off the clutch, while simultaneously pressing down on the accelerator.
Pressing down the clutch isn't necessary to press down the brake pedal.
When stopped at a stop light, put car in neutral and use the brake pedal.
When parking and leaving the car, use the parking brake and put the car into gear.
Remember:
Learn the engagement point.
Don't ride the clutch.
Don't downshift to first gear unless you're going slow.
Some cars have features to assist you when on a hill.
Don't let someone tell you it's difficult to learn.
After driving a manual for a week, muscle memory will take over, and shifting occurs automatically.
