Migrants saved from death off Italian coast

Italian coastguards have rescued around 100 African refugees from an inflatable dinghy in the straits of Sicily. They were heading for Lampedusa which, with the arrival of better weather, has already welcomed more than 600 migrants in the last 48 hours. Many have arrived malnourished or dehydrated. One was in a critical condition.
