Ironman Worlds, Kona 2012: the Pro Fields

www.BikeWearWorld.com and www.uRide.tv are on location in Kona, Hawaii for the annual Ironman World Championships. This was an exciting event full of craziness, drama, penalties, morning sickness, dropouts, dnf, lottery winners, kona inspired stories, caf, and a whole slew of people out there with incredible persistence, stamina, determination, drive and support. There had to have been 25,000 people that lined Kona today to watch 2,000 of the best triathletes in the world take on the BIG ISLAND of Hawai'i - this is Kona, the Ironman. This is just a preview and highlight of the pro fields - men and women. No action shots. Sorry - we tried. Cameron Brown pulled out first thing in the morning due to morning sickness?? Chris McCormack dropped out?? Marino Vanhoenacker led on the bike but got passed up somewhere??? Caroline Steffen 2nd on bike into run but came into first place because Mary Beth Ellis got a penalty for something??? Leanda Cave passed up Caroline Steffen with 10k to go on the run??? and Mirinda Carfrae collapsed at the finish line??? craziness...
