A man in Florida, pulled over for driving erratically, may have given officers the best excuse yet.
Cops responded to a report of reckless driving, finding a pickup truck weaving and driving on the grass shoulder. When officers pulled the vehicle over, the driver, Warren Michael III told them that a squirrel, residing under his shirt was eating him.
During a conversation with the police, Michael did end up showing them the live squirrel. However, officers also noted bloodshot eyes, a strong stench of alcohol and slurred speech.
Michael failed to produce a driver’s license or a registration, so he was then issued a field sobriety test, which he failed.
He was cited for a DUI, and his girlfriend was called to take possession of both the vehicle and the rodent.
Earlier this year, a man had a different approach after a night of drinking. Being intoxicated, he wanted to doze off. So, when the male spotted a cop car, he got in it and asked the police officers to take him to the jail for some sleep.
