Pitching for my healthcare technology company Aibilities in 2012 Hi, I’m Josep, one of the founders of Aibilities.
Our vision is to improve Indonesian health care by providing better access to health care information, services and cost savings through a mobile platform that delivers exceptional values for our users. (Not sure if we need to include this part "which is both profitable and beneficial" in our vision. WebMD's vision is "We aspire to revolutionize the business of health management through technology-driven behavior change solutions that deliver exceptional value for our customers")
According to our research, some of the challenges in Indonesian health care are: (Don't need to state extensive, just in case we are proven wrong later. If you don't have enough time, you can also remove the "According to our research" part)
- Limited access to medical information - 850 billions rupiah in excess prescription drug costs paid annually by patients - 750 thousand days wasted annually for going to and waiting at pharmacies
To start solving these problems, we develop a mobile platform with the first application, called DoKiTa, that allows users to consult their simple health problems with doctors. Our second application, ResepDokter, allows users to purchase prescription drugs through their mobile phone. Using ResepDokter, patients can purchase their prescription without wasting their time going to and waiting at pharmacies and save some money. In the same time, pharmacies can get new customers and increase their sales.
(I removed the process description since I don't think you will have enough time to say this)
With US$ 2.2 billion annual sales, Indonesian prescription drugs market has a huge potential. Our revenue will come from commission from pharmacies that ranges from 3 - 5% of the sales they make through ResepDokter. We expect to be profitable in 2 years.
One last thing, we currently have 7k users that are growing exponentially and are in partnership with the Indonesian Doctors Association.
