Employees at the Marikana mine in South Africa are back at work after a pay settlement that ended a six-week strike.

The miners won raises ranging from 11 to 22 percent.

Prior to the deal, they earned between 380 and 460 euros per month.

The Marikana strike claimed the lives of 46 people.
