P. T. Barnum Cirus Clowns

P. T. Barnum 19th century Circus clowns. Signed PT Barnum 56 The P & T and the B are all combined in the first letter B of Barnum. The Barnum Museum told me Barnum never was a painter. I myself say if he chose to be a painter instead of a promoter of the Barnum Circus as a career, he just might have starved to death and I believe he more than likely understood that. You can see the gas pipes that supplied the lighting for the big tent and they weren't for electric power in 1856. Barnum was born in 1810 and he would have been 46 year old when he painted this painting of his circus clowns.
