Spotlight Leanna

Leanna & Blue are reaping the rewards of dedication and perseverance. Leanna contacted H.H.H. after she had been bucked off on her last 2 rides with Blue. Leanna being a novice, did not understand how to read her mare for clues to her behavior. In addition, Blue was a horse that had a history of intimidating green riders. Leanna began an intensive training program that included 3 prongs. 1. She learned how to do ground-work with a H.H.H. horse that already understood what she was asking for. 2. She began to learn to ride on a H.H.H. horse so that she could learn what to ask for in the saddle. 3. She worked her horse and applied her new skills as she acquired them. Leanna was wise enough to realize that a green rider and a green or unwilling horse are a dangerous combination. She filled in the gaps by consulting someone with proven results in the horsemanship field.
