France is leading calls for more UN Security Council action to stop the carnage in Syria - where over 200 people have reportedly been killed in a massacre in the central province of Hama. Both government and rebel forces are blaming each other for the slaughter - while the world body remains paralyzed on whether to extend its observer mission, or impose sanctions.
