Vending Machine Gives Coffee If You Perform a Task - as part of the news series by GeoBeats.

What would you do for a free snack or beverage from the vending machine?

A vending machine in Soho Square, London is creating a unique experience for consumers. A U.K. Coffee Company is offering a free cup of coffee but you must complete a task given to you by ‘Kenneth’ the vending machine. Barking out such orders as give me a hug, dance, hop on one foot or roar like a lion, this interactive encounter is not the first to reverse the roles of consumer and machine.

Australian snack company, Fantastic Delites’ vending machine really put consumers to the test. Their machine challenged people to press a button over and over again, up to 5,000 times in order to get a free snack. Only using its display panel to state the task, the computer even persuaded some to drop to their knees and bow down to the machine.

Coca-Cola installed a ‘Happiness Machine’ at St. John’s University in New York that delivered surprises to unsuspecting college students just looking to purchase a soda.
