Needles Found in Airline Meal - as part of the news series by GeoBeats.

We’ve all heard stories of unimaginable objects appearing in food we eat outside. Then there's airline food that has a certain reputation and an easy target for late night comedians. Adding to this reputation, passengers on four separate Delta Air Lines flights had quite a shock when needles were discovered in sandwiches that were being served.

Officials claim the object that left one Minneapolis bound passenger injured, resembled a ‘sewing needle’ , prompting the FBI and Netherlands' authorities to get involved in the investigation. Delta Airlines and the catering supplier, Gate Gourmet are cooperating with law enforcement and are also looking at ways on how they can prevent such scenarios in future.

Chipotle workers claim that the piece of metal may have come from a cleaning tool used for the grill but the woman refuses to hand over the blade.
