Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of OutRunners from Data East and SEGA for the SEGA Genesis. Originally released to arcades in 1992, OutRunners was kind of a return to form for SEGA's OutRun series. 1989's Turbo OutRun veered off the road a bit in terms of the style set by the original OutRun, so with OutRunners, SEGA made an effort to restore that vibe of casual, insouciant cruising down a sunny highway. Mission accomplished, SEGA. This game is like a Beach Boys album in motion. This video review features video gameplay footage of OutRunners for the SEGA Genesis and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
