The mayor of a small town in Germany has made his views clear on that subject by designating separate spots for men and women.

The small town of Triberg is located in the middle of the Black Forest and is close to some of the tallest waterfalls in Germany.

Now, Triberg is attracting publicity for those parking spots as well.

Unlike the 12 spaces set aside for women, which are wider, well-lit, and closer to the exit, the men’s spaces require the driver to pull in at an angle, and avoid hitting cement pillars. The Mayor says - men are, as a rule, a little better at such challenges,

Certainly, any discussion of men vs. women drivers can easily be overgeneralized, there are some interesting statistics to ponder.

While male drivers are higher in number, an insurance study indicated that nearly 80% of serious car crashes are caused by men. Another study, however by John Hopkins Schools of Medicine and Public Health, revealed that women over 35 are more likely to be involved in a crash.
