In honor of the Summer Solstice which happened on June 20th, 2012 I figured I should go ahead and make a Maxi Dress tutorial! I bought a pattern from Joanns to make it easy for you to start sewing immediately. This is Part 7.
Supplies: See & Sew Pattern B5632 by Butterick (I paid $2.99 for mine) Approx. 5 yds of Fabric (Preferrably a cotton knit) Thread in matching color Sewing Machine & Needle (also needs zipper foot) tape measure Dress form or yourself Serger 14" Zipper in matching color (about $1.99) One hook and eye Fabric scissors 2 different color markers (I used green and black) Highlighter (or you can use the brighter marker color)
