What if you could use wood as a medium for listening to your favorite music?

KMKG Studio has introduced art for music lovers in their product named the iTree. Essentially a docking station for iPhones and iPods, it is derived from a tree trunk. The studio explains that the trunk “is hollowed out using a special technique and specialized tools, expertly proportioned to produce optimum sound quality.” The design is unique as customers choose the type of wood, the length and the technology. Woods most commonly used are spruce, poplar and cherry. Customers can even tour through the forest and pick the specific tree they desire. The tree is then sent to carpenters in Austria to be carved by hand.

The iTree is not only compatible with Apple products but also works with CD players and turntables.
